Financial Literacy Requirement

All incoming freshmen students are required to complete financial literacy training. Students can complete this requirement through an in-person class, Live Like a Student, or online through Panther CashCourse.

You only have to complete one of the options listed below to fulfill this requirement.

Panther CashCourse

Panther CashCourse is a free, online financial literacy course offered through eLearning. It includes learning modules, articles, quizzes, and interactive calculators. All incoming freshmen have access to Panther CashCourse through eLearning.

The course is broken into four modules:

  1. Budgeting & Money Management

  2. Saving & Financial Decision Making

  3. Credit & Debt

  4. Financial Aid & Student Loans or Banking & Cars

Live Like A Student

Live Like a Student is a free, three-week, non-credit course offered throughout the year. Attendees explore the concepts of personal budgeting, saving and investing, credit and credit cards, financial aid, and identity protection. For each class period attended, they are entered into a $500 scholarship drawing.
